I am confident, but I still have my moments
I'm not a supermodel, I still eat McDonald'sbaby, that's just me. Almost an entire year. Literally, that's how long it had been since Caitlyn and Mitchie had seen each other. True, last summer hadn't started off perfectly. Though, Caitlyn wouldn't be the one to bring up the fact that she had been right all along about Tess. Though, word around the camp was that Tess had changed a little. She had apologized to them at the end of Final Jam, but that didn't really mean anything to her that much. In Caitlyn's mind, you didn't change that quickly. No, that would have to be proven.
However, one thing hadn't changed. Mitchie was still crushing on Shane. Her and every other girl at this camp besides Caitlyn. Was that odd? No... Caitlyn saw him as a performer, as a fellow human being. She was sure Mitchie saw him as just another person, too... but so many people here just saw him as a star. If anything, Caitlyn respected him for being willing to come back and put up with it.
However, camp was like a home away from home for all of them. Here, while the boys still got praise, they were just normal teenagers. It was something Caitlyn loved about this place. Everyone came here for the music, not the celebrity. That was just an added bonus. She smirked as she typed some words into her laptop, making a note to finish some of her mixes later. She had been sitting on the front porch for almost an hour now, looking through some stuff.
Why an hour? Eh... she had gotten there early. She was excited, what did you expect? She also had gone straight to her cabin. The open assembly wasn't until later that evening, and she hadn't felt like standing around waiting on the buses and limos and cars of the kids coming to camp. She'd meet up with her friends later. However, she was extremely looking forward to seeing Mitchie and Emma again. She didn't know Emma as well as she knew Mitchie, but she liked the girl. And they were cabin-mates this summer, so it made life even more awesome.
Speaking of Mitchie, where was that girl? Caitlyn stood up, walking back inside the cabin. She sat her laptop on her bed and picked up her cell, texting Mitchie. Oh, she had just arrived. Good. Course, they had their small text conversation about Shane... that was natural. Mitchie was back in the place she had fallen for him, even though she would never realize he liked her too. She could be so daft sometimes. She'd have to make it a point to talk to Shane sometime soon. Maybe get things going? What? She was only going to try to help.
She laughed as Mitchie said she was almost there. Geez, took her long enough. Caitlyn put her iTunes on shuffle and plugged her laptop in to charge. That was one thing she loved about this camp... every cabin had electricity. Of course, it was a music camp... it was kind of required unless they all just wanted to study acoustics all summer, but that wasn't the point. She was thankful for small blessings. She heard footsteps approaching and she ran to the door, the chains on her belt smacking her leg.
She really didn't know why she wore those things. Probably because they were snazzy looking, but they got on her last nerve. She unhooked them and threw them back at her bed before walking on the front porch, spotting Mitchie carrying her bags for the summer. She smiled and leaned against the rail of the front porch. "Took you long enough." She said, with a laugh before jumping down the stairs and running to her and hugging her. She grabbed one of her bags from her and carried it inside.
When Mitchie walked through the door behind her, she turned to the girl. "If this were school, I'd be saying, 'how was your summer?' but I know how your summer was last year." She said, with a laugh. "How was your school year? Do anything entertaining?" She asked, walking over to her bed and sitting down, crossing her legs indian style and watching the girl unpack.outfit: click.status: completed. tags: Mitchie !muse: increased as I typed. credit: template by amanduh lyrics: LaLa Land // Demi Lovato[/blockquote]

MICHELLE EVANNA TORRES when darkness comes i'll light the night with stars, hear the whispers in the dark • • • • • Camp Rock, Camp Rock. Mitchie was actually back at Camp Rock, after what had felt like a century of being back home. It was sort of funny how this time a year ago, Mitchie had thought she wasn't actually going to Camp Rock to begin with, and now here she was, returning for the second year in a row. This year was going to be even better than the last, Mitchie knew it, because she wasn't going to allow anyone like Tess Tyler to ruin it for her. Plus, this year her mother told her she didn't really have to help out too much in the kitchen..just the occasional help when they were short on people. But Connie had brought a whole staff with her this year, half of which actually worked for her at the new restaurant she'd opened. So yeah, it was pretty cool.
She had missed her friends like crazy. Sure, she had friends back home, but none of them were as close to her as Emma and Caitlyn were. She had even managed to visit Emma in Boston in the Christmas Holidays, and then Emma had come to see her in Easter in San Francisco, but Mitchie hadn't seen Caitlyn since the previous summer, and it was driving her crazy. Sure, she'd kept in touch with her, obviously, but telephone conversations and IM just weren't the same as actually talking in person. This year she had already planned to room with Emma and Caitlyn, instead of Tess, so at least she could be with her two best friends all summer.
Almost as soon as Mitchie hopped out of the car, she got a text from Caitlyn, asking her if she had arrived yet. Mitchie chuckled lightly as she replied to the text...apparently, she wasn't the only person who had been missing her best friend throughout the year. She sent the message, and then walked round to the back of the van to get her bags. This year she'd thought ahead, and had brought a whole lot more clothes than she had brought the previous year. Camp was practically like a fashion show, everyone always looked their best, and Mitchie didn't want to look like the odd one out. Plus, she loved clothes, and getting dressed up, no matter what the occasion was.
"I'll see you later, Mom," she said, giving her mother a quick hug as she started dragging her bags towards Cabin Four. She was pleased to hear that it was by the water..she hated having to walk to the other side of camp the previous year just so she could have a quick dip. This year, she could get up at like six in the morning, walk down the steps of her cabin and voila, the beautiful fresh water of the lake would await her, practically calling out her name and begging her to jump in.
As she walked, she looked out for Emma, and the Grays. Though she didn't admit it to anyone other than Emma and Caitlyn, Mitchie was still crushing hard on Shane. It was crazy, she was trying really hard to get over him..he was a rockstar, why would he like a simple girl like her? But getting over him had proved to be difficult, especially since she had kept in contact with him throughout the year. And it didn't help that Shane was famous, because that meant that she would often see him on the television, and in magazines and posters all around the city. It was crazy, no matter how hard she tried to stop thinking about him, she just couldn't.
She finally reached the cabin, and she saw Caitlyn waiting on the front porch. Almost instantly, she dropped her bags, and ran to hug her friend. "Caitlyyynnn," she squealed, hugging her friend so tight that she was sure she couldn't breathe. Then she let go of her, a grin on her face as she bent down to pick up her bags. "Thanks," she said, as Caitlyn helped her out by taking one of her bags into the cabin for her. She followed her into the cabin, and threw her bags onto the bed by the window. She had this weird obsession with sleeping next to a wall with a window, because otherwise she never managed to sleep properly. It was quite impractical, but she couldn't really help it.
She opened her first bag and started taking out the various items of clothing as she walked over to her wardrobe and started chucking them in neatly one by one. She laughed at what Caitlyn said and then turned to face her when she asked what her school year had been like. "Bleagh, school will always be school," she said rolling her eyes as she unpacked more clothes. "But on the whole it was a pretty good year. My friends back home were pretty bummed when I told them I was coming to Camp Rock again this year, they just don't get why I'm so passionate about music." She shrugged; her friends at home didn't understand what pleasure Mitchie took in going to a music camp each summer instead of staying in San Francisco with them, and hanging at the beach all day.
"What about you?" she asked. It was sort of funny that they were asking each other how their year had been, because they had spoken on the telephone practically each week, and Mitchie had kept her updated about everything that had been happening in San Francisco. But apparently it was just the cliche to ask how the year had been when you haven't seen someone since the summer before. She glanced out of the window for a few brief seconds, before looking back at Caitlyn, a smile forming on her face. "Ah, Caitlyn, I missed you."

I am confident, but I still have my moments
I'm not a supermodel, I still eat McDonald'sbaby, that's just me. Seeing Mitchie again was like reliving the year before, except better. Mitchie had grown a little, and definitely had more bags than the previous year. Caitlyn just smirked at her as she unpacked. Caitlyn's style hadn't changed much. She just matched a little better than she used to. She was still just Caitlyn, and it made her so happy to see that Mitchie hadn't changed much.
Caitlyn rolled her eyes as Mitchie said something about her friends at home not understanding. Apparently that was something Caitlyn had picked up doing a lot. Almost every time someone spoke, her eyes were rolling. She just didn't understand some people. Was it really that hard to understand things? She laughed.
"Yeah, then they probably realized that you go to camp with Connect Three and they were like, we wanna go!" She said, laughing and pretending to be a fan girl. "Shane! Nate! Jason! sing a song with me! Sing to me at Final Jam! Let's go ride in canoes together!" She said, raising an eyebrow at her friend. "Yes, we all saw that last year. Emma and I were spying on you." She said, with a laugh.
It was weird. Last summer seemed like it was yesterday, and being in this room with Mitchie made it seem like her year at school hadn't even existed. She shrugged about her year. "Well, not much has happened, really. School will be school. Like you said. But my friends understand why I come here. Remember when a bunch of you came over to my house like, right after camp? Yes, I still have that production studio, and posters of Camp Rock everywhere. They understand." She said, laughing.
"Though, I've had a few girls from home get mondo jealous that I get to spend the summer with superstars. I would lie and tell you that I didn't brag about my friendship with Shane, but I totally did. Most girls in Los Angeles live for a chance to meet a celebrity, and I'm close friends with one of them. You know I bragged." She said, laughing. "Plus, I can't stand them... so it was good to watch their faces fall. Don't tell Shane, though. He may not like that I used his celebrity status to my advantage." She said, laughing again.
Mitchie randomly turned to her and said something about missing her, and Caitlyn's smile got bigger. "You're getting sappy on me, Mitchie. I missed you too, of course." She said, getting up and running over to her friend, jumping on her back and hugging her again. She got down and looked out the window, then to her watch. "So, remember me telling you I had some beats for Final Jam? I'm depending on you, little miss songwriting expert to write some lyrics for them... but I definitely have some music." She said, smiling and walking over to her computer.
She shut off her iTunes and opened her recording program. She started playing a song. It was just instrumental. No voices or anything. Caitlyn didn't write lyrics. She wrote the backing music and made sure everything sounded good. She raised her head to Mitchie. "If you like it, then you should totally write some lyrics to it. If not, we could start from scratch. But either way, I think this Final Jam is going to be amazing. And we'll actually get to compete this year!" She said, her mind going back to the previous year when Tess had sabotaged their chances of performing.
Not this year. This year, they were staying out of trouble. Well, for the most part. She thought to herself, laughing silently. They both knew there was no way they could go through an entire summer without getting into at least a little trouble. Maybe she'd get kitchen duty again? That hadn't been too bad. Though, she was sure the staff would notice if she started a food fight every year just to get to the kitchen.outfit: click.status: completed. tags: Mitchie !muse: pretty high =) credit: template by amanduh lyrics: LaLa Land // Demi Lovato[/blockquote]

MICHELLE EVANNA TORRES when darkness comes i'll light the night with stars, hear the whispers in the dark • • • • • Mitchie just burst out laughing when Caitlyn pretended to be a fan girl. It was sort of hard to imagine her an obsessed fan of Connect Three, like most of the girls at camp were. "Canoe rides? What are you talking about?" she said, raising an eyebrow and pretending to be hearing about canoe rides for the very first time, even though she'd gone into a canoe many times with Shane last year. She was given away when Caitlyn said she and Emma had seen her. "Well, fine, spy on my, see if I care." She grinned, throwing her pillow at her and hoping she didn't miss..then again, Mitchie had terrible aim. "Look, none of that proves that Shane actually likes me. We're just good friends..that's all that's on that guy's mind, a friendship. And I'm cool with that." She shrugged. In actual fact, she wasn't exactly "cool" with that, because she really liked Shane and really wanted something to happen between them..but she understood that Shane was a rockstar, he met different girls all the time. What had happened last summer was just a little bit of a fling, which she'd ruined when she lied to him, and Mitchie doubted he still felt the same way about her, if he'd ever thought about her in that way before.
"Seriously? I love your little recording studio. That song we recorded was awesome," she said, thinking back to when she'd gone to Caitlyn's "recording studio" with Ella, Peggy, Tess and Lola to record one of Mitchie's songs. "Oh that's good, you're lucky. My friends love my voice, which is why they think I'm wasting it at Camp Rock or something. They don't seem to understand just how prestigious this place is, and that people like Connect Three and TJ Tyler's daughter come here." She grinned. It was so much fun being able to say she knew Shane, Nate and Jason really well, and watch a bunch of girls at her school get really jealous. "Haha, shame on you Caitlyn. Shane's a guy too you know." The sarcasm in her voice was very notable..not because she didn't consider Shane a guy or anything of the sort, but many girls at Camp Rock used him like that. It hadn't been the first time she'd been browsing for Camp Rock people on myspace and voila, she found something like "I go to Camp Rock every summer, and Shane Gray is one of my best friends. I'm pretty close to Nate and Jason too but.." blah blah blah. It was rather amusing really.
She walked over to Caitlyn's bed when Caitlyn mentioned that she had some new beats for Final Jam..perfect. Mitchie didn't actually suck so badly at writing the guitar and piano chords for her songs, but she never ended up using them, because Caitlyn's music was a hundred times better with the type of music Mitchie sang. She listened to it, and a smile lit up her face, as she ran over to her bag and pulled out her blue songwriting book. No, it wasn't yellow anymore, that one had run out of pages, so she'd started a new one and it was blue this time. She figured it'd be cool to have a different colour for every year..or not; blue had been the only colour the stationary had at the time, so she'd just gone with that.
"Ok check these lyrics out, they're not really finished, but I think they'd go really well with that," she said, flipping through the pages until she finally landed on the one she was looking for. When she had started writing it, she had imagined a slow beat, but thinking about it now, she realised that something like Caitlyn's would be a hundred times better.
"I wanna get back To the old days When the phone would ring And I knew it was you..
" She sang. " I think it sounds pretty good," she said with a smile, handing her lyrics to Caitlyn so she could look at them herself. She sat down on her friends bed, leaving some of her bags unpacked..there weren't too many left anyway, she could pack them later, there'd be loads of time for that. " Yeah, it's going to rock. I'm just hoping there aren't any new Queen Bees this year..like, another Tess. But even if there is one, I'm going to steer clear of her, because I can't risk Final Jam again." She grinned; Final Jam was going to be awesome. The only downfall was the Mitchie didn't think Emma would be allowed to compete this year, seeing as she was a councelor. And Mitchie had been looking forward to the three of them all doing something..like, using Caitlyn's music, Mitchie singing, and Emma and Caitlyn dancing. But you couldn't have everything in life, could you? At least she'd have Caitlyn to perform with, and she knew they would be awesome anyways. ` tagged caitlyn !` attire clickk` word count 1031 ` muse so-so ` credit skillet for lyrics, shelby for post template ` notes it's a bit lame, but i'm tired (: and sorry i signed out of msn randomly yesterday, my internet is gay and it just went out, along with our television cable. blah.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

I am confident, but I still have my moments
I'm not a supermodel, I still eat McDonald'sbaby, that's just me. Caitlyn's eyebrow raised. "Oh don't even play. You're caught." She said, commenting the fact that Emma and her had soooo caught Mitchie in that canoe. Honestly, they had just been looking for Mitchie and had found her. They weren't actually snooping that day. Maybe later on after that, but that had been the first day of their snooping. Caitlyn laughed at the many times her and Em really had gone out just to see if Mitchie and Shane were together. Man, last summer had been a blast.
Caitlyn's eyes rolled yet again. "No, it doesn't prove he likes you. Let's not forget that you and him sang together at Final Jam, held hands, oh... and the fact that you were the only girl who ever took in that blasted canoe!" She said, just crossing her arms over her chest. "But he doesn't like you at all... you all are 'just friends'" She said, making quotes in the air with her fingers. Well, she was pretty sure Mitchie wasn't going to admit it. Caitlyn would just have to find out from Shane... and that wouldn't be too hard.
That was one thing Caitlyn had found in Shane Gray. A confidant. She didn't like him as more than a friend, and never had. Sure, she thought he was cute... but Caitlyn was pretty positive even blind girls fell for the boy. He was just that gorgeous. But in all honesty, she had never thought of him as anything more than a friend, and that was definitely lucky. She didn't want to fight Mitchie over anything, and that would've been a huge dent in their friendship.
Caitlyn tilted her head to the side when Mitchie brought out a blue book. "Traded in the yellow one, eh?" She asked, smiling as she replayed the song and Mitchie looked through her book of lyrics. Mitchie sang a little of a song she had been working on and Caitlyn smiled widely. "That sounds amazing!" She took the book as Mitchie handed it to her. She looked through the rest of what Mitchie had written down and just smiled. "Oh yeah, I know who's winning the recording deal with Shane this year!" She said, laughing.
Not that she hadn't loved Peggy's song last year. It had been beautiful and no one had known she had it in her... but Mitchie definitely had the same, if not more, talent then Peggy. Then again, Caitlyn was probably a bit biased. She hadn't exactly been friends with Peggy last year. They had settled their differences after Tess apologized, and they were okay now, but her preference was still Mitchie every time.
Caitlyn just laughed. "There is always a queen bee... I just wonder who it's gonna be this year. You know it won't be Tess. She got knocked off her high horse last year." She said, remembering the scene. Almost getting knocked off the stage by a mirror was humiliating, and Caitlyn had nearly laughed her butt off. But then again, that was mean... and she would never tell that to anyone... but there was a sweet satisfaction in seeing your enemy falter. She just grinned and shrugged.
"My only question is... will Emma be able to perform with us? Or is that like... against the rules since she's a counselor?" True, Caitlyn had been writing these beats for Mitchie, but she could see her and Emma dancing in the background. "If you're the lead, I'm sure they'll let her dance, right?" She asked, honestly curious about how that was going to work out. They had let Emma stay with them in the same cabin, would they really say no to letting her dance at Final Jam?outfit: click.status: completed. tags: Mitchie !muse: blah. credit: template by amanduh lyrics: LaLa Land // Demi Lovato[/blockquote]

MICHELLE EVANNA TORRES when darkness comes i'll light the night with stars, hear the whispers in the dark • • • • • Mitchie bit her lip but said nothing more. Alright, so all that proved that perhaps something went on with her and Shane last year, but then she had lied to him and screwed everything up. She wasn't going to be the first person to admit that perhaps Shane liked her in the same way she liked him...no way, she first had to see how he acted this year. She was bursting to go find him and hug him, but no that could wait. She had missed Caitlyn way too much and had been waiting too long for Camp Rock to come so that she could hang out with her best friends again. She could go find the boys later. "I'm not going to make any further comment on the matter," she said, folding her arms across her chest and acting like some sort of celebrity addressing the paparazzi and magazine editors. "But what about you, Caitlyn? Who are you crushing on? Emma and I are so going to find someone for you this year, you can bet on it."
She nodded. "I've still got it somewhere in here, but I ran out of pages, and thought it was time for something new," she said with a grin. She smiled when she saw that Caitlyn liked her lyrics. "They're not finished yet, but yeah, I think I've really hit something with this one." She loved music and song-writing with a passion, and getting a record deal was something she had been dreaming of her entire life. And the Grays had heard her voice, hadn't they? Hmm..perhaps she could get the boys to pull a few strings for her, perhaps send her demo to their record company? But by the way Shane spoke about their label, Mitchie didn't quite want to be signed by them, if they were going to make her sing lame songs and do lame things. No, she was a musician in her nature and didn't want to have to be told what to sing when it came to her songs.
Mitchie just shrugged. In truth she hadn't even really thought of Tess over the year, but in a way she felt sorry for the girl. Tess was used to being a bitch, Mitchie supposed, because being the daughter of grammy-winning TJ Tyler sort of automatically gave her that title, so she couldn't really help it. But now she had lost all of her friends, and it was partly Mitchie's fault. Mitchie just wondered if Tess had actually changed this year, wondered if she had the same character she'd portrayed after the Final Jam when she apologised to everyone for being such a bitch. If she had changed at all, then Mitchie thought it'd be only fair to be friends with her this year..Tess could be nice when she wanted to be.
Mitchie frowned and then laughed slightly. It was funny how one second she had been thinking one thing, and the next second Caitlyn was asking her practically the exact same thing. "I hope so," was all she could say. It wouldn't be fair if they didn't let her, but a lot of unfair things seemed to occur at Camp Rock, didn't they? Perhaps she'd have to talk to Madison or Nate about it..they were the youngest councelors, apart from Emma. Scratch that, Mitchie would talk to Nate about it, not Maddie. It was sort of strange that she hated Madison with a passion, but that's what happens when you stick up for your best friend. In truth she hardly even knew Madison at all, but after what had happened between her, Emma and Nate last year, Mitchie didn't really want to get to know her. She'd caused Emma some emotional pain, and Emma was Mitchie's best friend, which means that Mitchie didn't like her by default. Nothing like good old prejudice, eh?
She stopped thinking about it, and instead tried to think about something that she hadn't told Caitlyn about over the year. And then it clicked. "So, guess what, I dated someone this year," she said with a slight smirk. It had only been for a short while, like a month or so, even though she had still been majorly crushing on shane. She pulled out her cellphone and showed Caitlyn a picture of herself with the guy. "His name's Ryan, and he just graduated from High School. I broke it off after a month though, because I couldn't stop thinking about Shane, so I think it was sorta unfair on Ryan that I was madly crushing on some other guy more than I was crushing on him." She shrugged, and tucked her iPhone back into her jeans pocket. "There, I think I told you everything else that went on in my life throughout the year, right? I mean, I spoke to you on the phone practically everyday." She grinned, it was funny how the two girls would constantly call each other, so much so that her friends actually thought Caitlyn lived in San Francisco and was just away on holiday or something..because to them it seemed absurd that Mitchie and Caitlyn had become such could friends just over a summer. But no, to Mitchie it seemed perfectly normal. She had the two best friends ever at Camp Rock, and she was loving it.

I am confident, but I still have my moments
I'm not a supermodel, I still eat McDonald'sbaby, that's just me. Caitlyn just laughed. Mitchie had finally started to come to her senses. Hence why she had not wanted to talk about it anymore. That's the way to do it right there. She applauded Mitchie on her ability to be completely oblivious, it was a trait Caitlyn wish she had picked up a long time ago.
Her shoulders went up in a shrug. "Eh, I had a boyfriend throughout school this year. We broke up right before summer started. He's been texting me non-stop since I got here, but I basically told him that it was summer, and I didn't want to be tied down." She sounded like a jerk saying that, but he stuck around. Caitlyn looked back up to her friend. "Actually, that's not the case at all. I never really liked him. He was just a good friend and I decided to give him a chance. I just figured he'd rather hear that I wanted to be single for the summer rather than me tellilng him I never actually liked him."
She shrugged and leaned back on her bed, staring up at the ceiling. "It's weird... I don't think I've ever really liked anyone. I see your face when you see Shane... I've never had that. Who knows, maybe it'll happen this summer?" She said, letting out a sigh. Part of her hoped that would happen, the other part almost definitely knew it wouldn't. "But I salute your and Emma's efforts. I'll definitely be grateful if you actually find someone."
She sat back up and looked at Mitchie again. Yes, this song was going to be a hit. Mitchie's voice had matured a little since last year, and it was even better than before. Then again, last year she'd been a hit. Caitlyn could only imagine what would happen when they heard her this year. And she was more than happy to say she was a part of that music making.
Caitlyn's eyebrows raised. She had known about Ryan, kind of. Well, Mitchie and her talked on the phone practically every day. All this 'catching up' they were doing was more like a summary of the year anyway. But she had never seen a picture of Ryan. She took the phone and smiled. "Oh jeez, he's hot!" She said, grinning and handing the phone back to Mitchie.
Caitlyn just laughed. "Shane seems to make you happy just as much as he makes you miserable." It was true. Shane was the person Mitchie was always thinking about in the summer and through the school year. In a way, he made her happy, but at the same time, she felt miserable for missing him. It was a losing situation as of this moment. Though, Caitlyn was already forming plans in her head. They'd be together by the end of the summer. Caitlyn had no doubt in her mind about it.
Caitlyn shrugged. "Yeah, it's not like we really have to catch up... this is more of a recap of everything we've said the past year." She said, laughing and sitting up. "Honestly, I'm dying to see Nate and Emma. Is that weird? If I recall correctly, they never actually really broke up. Didn't they just stop talking? And as much as I love Emma, I love Nate, too. I kinda hope they fix things. But then again, Madison likes Nick. You can tell." She said, shrugging. She was closer to Emma, that was for sure... and being close to her kind of meant she wasn't supposed to be friends with Madison.
However, Caitlyn stopped following the 'friend rules' two summers ago when her and Tess got into it for the first time. So she was going to give Madison a chance before she disliked her. In Caitlyn's eyes, you couldn't dislike someone you didn't know very well. "To say this summer will be interesting is an understatement." She said, laughing and falling back on her bed again, staring up at the ceiling.outfit: click.status: completed. tags: Mitchie !muse: rawr. credit: template by amanduh lyrics: LaLa Land // Demi Lovato[/blockquote]

MICHELLE EVANNA TORRES when darkness comes i'll light the night with stars, hear the whispers in the dark • • • • • Mitchie raised an eyebrow when Caitlyn said she had had a boyfriend throughout the school year, who was still apparently obsessed with her since he texted her constantly. "Oooh, Caitlyn, why was I not told about this man of yours?" she teased with a grin. She nodded when she heard what Caitlyn said about the guy she had dated being a friend who she gave a chance. "That's sort of like what happened with me and Ryan, but you know, I sorta liked him once I was actually dating him. But when I hugged him or kissed him or whatever, it just wasn't the same as hugging and being with Shane, and I couldn't bear it."
"Dude, Caitlyn, we will find someone for you definitely, but I'm pretty sure that a guy will get his hands on you before we even talk to him or anything," she said with a grin. "I swear, you're like, amazingly pretty, and I bet there are tons of guys here who are too scared to ask you out." It was true, Mitchie really did think that Caitlyn was very pretty and her uniqueness was something that Mitchie was often jealous of. Caitlyn was just the type of girl who didn't give in to the way people acted, and the current fashion trends and whatever..she was herself, and Mitchie often tried to be more like her and not allow herself to be dragged by the current. But she had learned that that was a lot harder than it actually sounded.
She rolled her eyes at what Caitlyn said about Ryan. "I guess he is," she said with a shrug, grinning as she showed Caitlyn another picture of him, that she had taken about a week before they broke up. "But yeah, he's no where near as hot as my Shaney...shit, did I just call him Shaney, and say that he was mine?" She blushed and looked away for a few seconds. She hadn't realised that she had been speaking her thoughts. Crap, that was embarrassing. Well, at least it was Caitlyn, and not Shane himself or one of his brothers.
"They did break up, it just wasn't official," Mitchie replied with a shrug. "They're both still seriously crushing on each other, though, I know they are. Let's just hope Madison doesn't stick her nose into their business this year." She shrivelled up her nose, as she usually did whenever she said Madison's name. Honestly, Mitchie didn't even know why she disliked the girl so much, it was very abnormally prejudiced of her, but she couldn't quite help it could she? "Haha, Caitlyn? Did you just call Nate Nick?" She grinned, knowing it had been an honest mistake because the names were sort of similar anyway. "Hmm..is Nick the name of the guy you dated, or is he your cousin's nephew's friend's brother?"
"That's true, my friend, but that's what makes Camp Rock awesome, right?" she smiled. "I wish Camp Rock wasn't just a summer-thing, y'know? If it lasted for like, a year..wow, that would rock big time."

I am confident, but I still have my moments
I'm not a supermodel, I still eat McDonald'sbaby, that's just me. Caitlyn just laughed. "Well, you weren't told about him because you were too busy telling me about Ryan." She said, laughing and grinning at the girl. She walked over to her suitcase and pulled out a small picture of Nick. She hadn't told him the boy's name yet, though. She just smiled at it and turned away, walking over to sit back down on her bed. "Yeah, I mean, I love him to death... he's one of my closest friends at home, but I just don't see him as a boyfriend type, you know?"
Course, that wasn't uncommon with Caitlyn. She had always been 'one of the boys' and it killed her to no end. She played basketball, she produced music, she danced, but not ballet... hip hop. She would rather lounge around and watch sports than put on make-up and go out somewhere. That's just who she was... and when you liked doing stuff like that, you tended to go with the guys. She was lucky her and Mitchie had become friends and broken her all guy friends streak.
Mitchie, though... that girl was different. She loved Caitlyn for who she was, and finding a friend like that was entirely too hard these days. So Caitlyn valued that a lot. But she was the same. Caitlyn would much rather be friends with someone she enjoyed spending time with than someone who spent all their time LOOKING like someone you wanted to spend time with. Though, Mitchie hadn't seen that at first. It was all good now, they both understood each other.
She just laughed. "Yeah okay... you get started on that, I'll start planning for Final Jam." Honestly, she didn't care if she met a guy this summer or not. True, most of the guys here were absolutely freaking gorgeous, but it didn't matter to her. She was just wanting a fun summer with her friends, the rest could come if it just happened to. She wasn't going to plan for it, though.
Caitlyn's eyes rolled yet again. "Nate and Emma confuse the hell out of me. Honestly... they're crazy about each other, they just won't admit it to anyone but themselves." She said, laughing. "Watch, they'll be back together within the first week of camp. I'll put five bucks on it." She said, smiling. Knowing Nate and Emma, they had already talked and he was already either planning to ask her out, or already had.
Caitlyn covered her mouth. "Crap, yeah. Nick is my ex... I don't know... thinking about Nate and Emma had me thinking about him. I don't know." She said, not blushing about her mistake, but just laughing it off. Caitlyn wasn't one to get embarrassed easily.
She shrugged. "I wish summer was school, and camp Rock was the year. I know I learn a lot more here than I do at school... and I have way more fun." She said, laughing. But thinking about it... it probably was a good thing that Camp Rock was in the summer. They all would probably get sick of each other if they were stuck together for a year. She thought about how much people would get annoyed being there without only a certain amount of clothes. Oh, it'd be hilarious. Caitlyn wouldn't care, but everyone else would.
She just laid back on her bed and stared up at the ceiling again. She was starting to feel a little tired. In a moment, she was considering asking Mitchie if it would be rude if she took a nap before the meeting later.
