Marie had been her usually excited self. Being back at camp meant so many things to her. Being with friends, singing, performing, figuring out something new about herself and the others around her every year. Nothing was ever boring, no matter how little there was for even a day. There was always something to keep busy with. Crafts, swimming, singing, dancing, eating...spending time with friends every day. It was hard to not have something to do. A lot of the time it was work work and more work. With the final jam at the end of the year and then the other things that were thrown in between it was a wonder that anyone could find much free time. But camp this year wasn't going to be just about work, not for her anyways. Some would most likely be leaving for good and Marie wanted to get as much time in as possible. Esmerelda was planning on taking some college courses at a New York School, and there was a chance she wouldn't be back again, it was hard to get from the east coast all the way back to the west coast, especially seeing that she would be coming home for every holiday. There was a chance that they would never get an opportunity like this again, so she was going to take it while she could.
Marie took no time walking back to her cabin, the sun shinning brightly above. It made Marie wish that she had worn sunglasses instead of not. She was used to the heat and the brightness of the sun but this was a little bit too much. Instead of complaining about it like a lot of people do, she enjoyed it because once the late fall/early winter rolled around in California it would still be kind of cold, no matter how much the sun happened to shine. That was part of the reason why she hated living in Los Angeles, the weather was so different from places that she was used to living. In Mexico, it got cold but it was still slightly warm. Nothing too freezing like parts of California got to be. It was ridiculous to her, someone who was used to scorching hot weather compared to what she considered an ice freezer. She shuddered at the thought and was openly happy that she was able to wear shorts instead of a sweater with jeans. The weather was beautiful which brought out her good mood even more. Good weather always meant a good mood with this girl. A gift from God as she called it, much to her brothers annoyance. His response to that would always be "That must mean that it's a gift from God seven days a week." She would roll her eyes and continue with what she was doing.
Marie didn't miss home. She loved not being around her brother, having free time from her sisters, being able to escape her mother and giving her Dad some time to think about things that were slightly more important than the ramblings of a sixteen year old girl. Walking closer and closer to the cabin Marie ran her fingers though her hair that for the day was completely straightened and worn down, just like it normally was. She would normally prefer to wear it curled or have something a little bit more interesting done to it but she didn't have time when she had woke up that morning and had settled with just straightening it in an hour, nothing less than that. Marie was disgusted with her shortness and intolerance with her care of appearance but she had to the stupid singing class that morning and was in a rush because she was late enough as it was. Luckily she hadn't missed anything that was of great importance. The front of her cabin Marie walked up the wooden steps and looked in the small window type thing that was nothing but screen. She smiled when she saw her best friend, Lumielle Fabriza, was already in there. With no hesitation she walked in towards where their beds were.
"Hola mi amor." She said happily. She called all of her friends amor, simply for the fact that she found it really entertaining and it was sort of a pet name for those that she cared about. She even called her brother 'mi amor' so it wasn't a lesbian thing or anything stupid like that. People had a habit of blowing things out of proportion for her saying mi amor or telling one of her friends 'te amo', she never understood why it was such a big deal to tell someone close that she loved them. No matter what gender they were.

Ellie had been sitting and waiting for Marie to show up. She had gotten through with the dance class and her best friend wasn't there. It bothered her but she thought that maybe she had more important things to take care of, or she was having a good time. Lumielle knew what time at camp meant for Marie and she wasn't about to take that from her. Not yet anyways, next year maybe...only because their time together in school was about to come to a close for them. Just two more years and then they were done with high school for good, who knew where they would end up after that. Hopefully the group would get a good deal and they would be able to tour together. But the current dream was to get their names out there, now if they could only think of a name. So, while she was waiting for her retarded ass best friend to show up she pulled out some paper and started to write to her father, she refused to call or email him in any way that he could reply instantly, a letter was the perfect way to do that. She hated her dad, without a second thought about it.
Ellie was simply writing about how camp was going for her so far, how things were with her friends and how her sophomore year of school went. She told everything she could about Angelo -Leaving out the part that she had the hugest crush on him- and of course hanging out with her brother, Giovanni, and Connie. That she was still singing with her friends, and that the group still didn't have a name, basically anything that came to her mind within a seconds thinking. Humming to one of the new songs they had practiced over the year, Lumielle ran her fingers through her blond hair, which was left naturally but pulled up into a ponytail, her bangs pulled back as well. Ellie looked up when she heard the door open, and saw Marie walk in, greeting her first thing. "Hey Mamas," She said getting up, putting her pen down, and hurrying over to her best friend. "Where the hell have you been?" She asked, her hands on her hips, pretending like she could ever be mad at Marie.

Marie laughed at her best friend when she came over after having said "Hey Mamas," making her say "Whatcha up to?" looking over to where she had previously been sitting on her bed, it appeared that she had been writing a letter or something. It had to be her Dad, obviously. Marie knew how she hated the man she simply called her sperm donor instead of Dad. That was possibly the person she was writing to, because Marie also knew that Lumielle didn't keep a journal, she preferred blogging over all else. "Where the hell have you been?" She looked at Ellie with her hands on her tiny little hips, noticing for once, just how small she really was. Ellie really looked like she needed to eat more. The outfit, of course was hollister and coach, what else would it be? That wasn't the issue though. "Ay mi pobrecita! Were you missing me?" She said playfully while putting her arms around her best friend. Marie already knew that Lumielle would never be mad at her.
"Lo siento Honey." The joke was still on, and would probably carry on between them for a while, with the rate that they were going and everything. That was just how their friendship happened to go, it was an everyday thing. Anyone who knew these two were sure to know that little detail about them. How many times had Marie heard her twin, Victor, complain about them being a pain in the ass to him? Countless times and there were more to come. That was how inseparable and insane they could be when together, there was never a dull moment between these two, it had been like that since the day they started talking. There was so much that they had in common. Like the love of speaking Spanish on a daily basis, that both of them wrote songs in Spanish, and both had amazing voices which lead to loving singing.
She hugged her friendly a little tightly before rolling her eyes and continuing on. "But you know you can't always keep tabs on me ellie. I'm not a little girl anymore and I already have one Mamita and don't need two of them." Was how it kept on going, she was planning on having a little bit of fun with this, anyway that she saw fit, and she didn't care how long it went on. Seconds, Minutes, Hours...it really didn't mean a thing to her.

Ellie rolled her eyes at her friend, shrugging her off when she hugged her. This wasn't over yet and she wanted to show Marie that. "You're crazy Marie," She told her best friend, wanting to pull the hair of her ponytail but then deciding not to. Brushing it out would be not worth it. Besides they had to get practicing being that the first official weekly jam was coming up, and sounding terrible wasn't worth it. If Marie wanted to keep up with her little game then that was perfectly fine with Lumielle. They always had the best times together, so why should this one be any different. Esmerelda was nowhere to be seen anyways, so no one was suffering greatly. Not yet anyways. "No shit I was missing you." She said crossing her arms over her chest again, pretending to glare at Marie now, all signs of friendliness were gone from her face, but you could tell from her tone that she was only playing with her.
Ay caray. Lumielle thought while her glare was still pronounced on her face. At Marie's next words it took all she had not to smile. It was like a constant battle that she was in danger of losing, and losing very very soon. Ellie knew that Marie's mother could be a little annoying sometimes and also ridiculously over protective. That was just her job as a Mom, nothing that she could seriously help. But Ellie didn't like being compared to Marina either. God knew she loved the woman to death, but they were nothing alike! A little cautious around Marie, maybe. Any similarities had ended there, ceasing to exist totally. She just knew it wasn't an insult in any way. Well...it wasn't meant to be. "Maybe you do Mia, estas loca. So...I really don't know." Was her quick reply, the first thing that came to mind.

"You're crazy Marie," Marie knew she was crazy. She had heard it so many times before, so it was nothing entirely new. So all she could do was say "Yeah I know. What are you gonna do about it?" In response to that, what else was there to say. She could have taken a shot at saying 'Not.' But that was just ridiculous and honestly getting old. She usually played that with her older sisters for the fun of it. It was more fun with them because they got so tired of it and gave in but she knew with Ellie it would go on all night and they wouldn't get anything they needed to done. Though with these two younger girls hardly anything got done anyways. No big deal about it, but they were all trying to be more serious. Music was their lives, and their dreams combined into one and no one wanted to ruin it for the others. They were serious but not 100% or the kind of people who go crazy about it like some people did. They had other things to back them up to, like Marie wanted to be a lawyer if the whole singing thing didn't work out. "No shit I was missing you." Marie busted out laughing by that point and after a while she stopped, this was going to be a fun day.
Marie was serious about her future. She wanted to be a somebody on her own for once. Not just because of the cases her Mom pulled or who her Dad worked for. It was annoying being expected to follow after them or having to be someone she wasn't just to impress people she would hardly ever see again. No, she wanted to make her mark in this world by doing something she loved and was good at. That was the reason Marie came to camp rock in the first place, and now she was going to make her goal. Marie caught Lumielle's glare and laughed lightly to herself before going to sit on her bed, pretending to look annoyed with her again. Marie knew that Ellie wouldn't take her little comment as an insult, they were both like that with each other. Saying that the other could be compared to their Mom's. But both were nowhere near those women, the girls were too insane while the women were so content on them growing up into proper young ladies. Marie and Ellie were both trying to break free of those bonds.
So Marie didn't even feel bad about saying Lumielle was like her Mom. It was all just a joke between two friends. "Maybe you do Mia, estas loca. So...I really don't know." Marie rolled her eyes and took the little shrug off. Leaving her in the thin strapped tank top. "Whatever Ellie. Just because you're over protective doesn't make me crazy." Playing again, like always. Marie wondered just how long this little game could go on.[/blockquote][/blockquote]
